Bridlington hosts the Archiverse

Bridlington Central Library played fantastic host for our history-making Archiverse Minecraft events on two dates across February half term, 19th and 23rd February.

Our Archiverse Minecraft events across half term were an opportunity for youths to contribute their COVID-19 experiences to the East Riding Archives by using our equipment at a local venue, such as an East Riding Library.

Despite the stormy weather in Bridlington, the events were well-attended in the junior section of the library. Our participants, Minecrafters both new and expert, built and documented their lockdown experiences on our Minecraft Education Edition version of the Archiverse map.

In the gallery below, take a look at their inspirational creations which will be sent to the Archives team for cataloguing and preservation, becoming part of 800 years of documented East Riding history!

Until next time, keep an eye on our What’s On page for future Archiverse Minecraft events.
